My counselling sessions are offered virtually to people who live in Ontario, Canada. Service can be provided with a sliding scale payment, which will be discussed and decided upon during our initial consultation based on your service needs.

While my service is not covered by OHIP, it may be covered by many non-governmental and private insurance plans. For example:

• University students have University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP);
• Working professionals have workplace group benefits as employees;
• Youths may be covered under their parents’ work insurance.

These are insurance types that will likely cover counselling provided by an RSW in Ontario. I use a direct billing system called E-Claims powered by TELUS, which allows me to submit the service claim to your insurance company on your behalf with consent. This would save you the time of claiming the expense later on your own. However, not all insurance plans are eligible for direct billing. Depending on your benefit policy, you may also have to pay copay or deductibles. It is strongly recommended to check with your insurance company about Social Worker service coverage beforehand.
